Bereavement and Grief Support

Death can be a painful experience, and one of the hardest from which to recover. Death takes away, but facing it and grieving can result in peace, new strengths and purpose. Caring for Life offers a variety of grief support services led by employees and trained volunteers.

We are currently not having in-person groups. If you have any questions please call Caring for Life at (256) 650-1212.

Bereavement Program

Caring for Life offers support and bereavement care to those who have had a loved one die in our service. We recognize the importance of not only caring for our patients during their time with us, but we also want to care for the patients’ family members. We will periodically reach out to you by mail or phone for 13 months after the death of your loved one. A yearly service of remembrance is held to honor those that we cared for.
